AdkAction Ambassador Program

Do you have an interest in AdkAction’s mission, want to learn more about the inner workings of our projects, and volunteer your time to share knowledge with your community?

AdkAction Ambassadors are dedicated volunteers who represent AdkAction at local events like farmers markets and community days, where they share information about our projects with their communities. Ambassadors have the opportunity to engage in our work and make a difference in our region by sharing the mission and values of AdkAction. After participating in specialized training, these volunteers are ready to represent AdkAction at events. They receive regular updates with the latest information on our work, and are invited to attend Ambassador networking events. An AdkAction Ambassador has a passion for our project areas and a general appreciation for the Adirondacks.

What might I be doing as an Ambassador?

AdkAction is often invited to set up a table at events to share information about our work with interested members of the community. This is a great way to engage more people in our work, but our small staff can’t always get to every event we’d like to cover – and that’s where AdkAction Ambassadors can step up to help!

As an Ambassador, you’ll have a chance to sign up to cover the AdkAction table at events like the Saranac Lake Farmers Market, Adirondack Harvest Festival, Lake Placid Community Day, Old Forge Eco-Arts Festival, and similar events around the region.

We will make sure you have everything you need for tabling at the event, and will prepare you with a specialized training at the start of the summer season. You’ll also receive ongoing updates to keep you up to speed with what our projects are doing.

Perks of Becoming an AdkAction Ambassador:

  • Learn more about AdkAction’s focus areas and be a part of the important work we are doing throughout the Adirondack Park
  • Work with a great team of AdkAction staff and other ambassadors
  • Receive an AdkAction branded item to wear when working events
  • Join the community of AdkAction Ambassadors and connect at in-person gatherings
  • Make a difference in your community!
