Plein Air Painting July 19 - 22
Community Festival, Art Show & Sale July 22-24

In the Week Leading up to the Festival:

Visiting artists will be outdoors (rain or shine) painting the scenes in and around Keeseville starting on July 19th.

Artistry Community Theatre will be performing Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Keeseville Elk’s Lodge, with shows starting July 13 and running through the festival. 

Howl Story Slam at Ausable Brewing Company July 20

Anderson Falls Heritage Society Museum’s exhibit featuring local scenes and local artists is open July 21, 10:00 – 2:00 

Live music by Gary Henry at Ausable Brewing Company July 21, 6:00

Friday, July 22

Storytime with Children’s Book Authors (Free)

Mural Dedication (Free)
5:30 pm at the side of Adirondack Hardware, 1619 Front Street

Join us to dedicate the mural painted by over 60 volunteers during 2021’s Keeseville Community Arts Festival, entitled “What Brings Us Together.”

Plein Air Show & Sale Opening Reception by AdkAction ($10)
6:00 – 9:00 pm at 1719 Block Gallery, 1719 Front Street

See what artists have chosen to paint around Keeseville in the days leading up to the festival! Enjoy wine and cheese while viewing over 100 newly created works of art by 40 talented artists, showing the beautiful landscapes and architecture of Keeseville. Paintings are available for purchase from 6:00 Friday through Sunday afternoon. Admission to the reception and a portion artwork sale proceeds benefit AdkAction.

Riverfront Concert Series by Keeseville Business Association (Free)

6:00 – 8:00 pm at Anderson Falls Park, behind the Keeseville Library

Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the music, and the view of the Ausable River at this concert sponsored by the Keeseville Business Association.

Check out some local artists’ work, with demonstrations from area potters, jewelry makers, Adirondack furniture makers, and more! Enjoy music by Alice’s Fault from 10:00 – 12:00. Kids can get their faces painted, participate in a free tie dye workshop, outdoor painting class, and make a zine.

Brunch at the Plein Air Show & Sale ($10)

Art Festivals

Plein Air Artist Registration

Keeseville Plein Air 2022 will take place from July 19-24, with three days of painting, and two days of showing and sales. Plein Air artists are encouraged to register early, as registrations tend to sell out quickly.

Artists are invited to paint Keeseville’s historic architecture, rolling hills, charming farms, waterfalls, chasms, and lakeshores. You will be able to enjoy food, beer, and wine from local farms, and craft beverage makers, meet other artists, and come to know a charming lakeside community at the foothills of the Adirondack mountains.
