Plein Air at the Festival
Painting begins Tuesday July 15, 2025
The Plein Air portion of the 2025 Community Arts Festival will take place from July 15-18, with three days of painting, and two days of showing and sales. Interested artists can learn more and register at the links below:

Schedule of Main Festival Events

Pre-Festival Events
Tuesday, July 15: Plein Air artists begin painting the sights around Keeseville. Keep your eyes out for them painting at Ausable Chasm, Wickham Marsh, farms along Mace Chasm Road and Pray Road, Port Douglas Beach, Highlands Vineyard, Adirondack View Lavender, downtown Keeseville, and other places around town.
Tuesday, July 15: Gelli Art activity scheduled on 7/15 for teens and adults from 6-8 pm at the Keeseville Free Library, Front Street
Main Festival Events
Ausable Street will be one-way traffic only during main festival events on Friday and Saturday, to accommodate street parking for the festival.
Friday, July 18
Children’s Puppet Show at the Keeseville Free Library, Front Street

Plein Air Show & Sale Opening Reception at the Old Stone Mill

See what artists have chosen to paint around Keeseville in the days leading up to the festival! View 120 newly created works of art by 40 talented artists, showing the beautiful landscapes and architecture of Keeseville. Paintings are available for purchase from Friday’s opening reception through Saturday afternoon. Admission to the reception and a portion artwork sale proceeds benefit AdkAction. Open to the public, suggested donation of $15 at the door includes a limited edition KEESEVILLE glass and complimentary beverage from Ausable Brewing Company.
Saturday, July 19
Raku Pottery at The Riverside Inn and Pottery Studio
95 Ausable Street, Keeseville
Demonstrations 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Up to 11:00 am pre-made pots will be available to glaze and fire for $10 per pot
Potters can bring cone 5/6 bisqueware to glaze and fire-fee by weight – Raku glazes will be available on site. Parking/Bathrooms available
Plein Air Show & Sale, Brunch with the Artists at the Stone Mill

Brunch available 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Enjoy mimosas and light brunch fare (10:00 am – 1:00 pm) while viewing 120 newly created works of art by 40 talented artists, showing the beautiful landscapes and architecture of Keeseville. Paintings are available for purchase from Friday’s opening reception through Saturday at 4:00. Gallery admission is free, brunch is $10 at the door.
