AdkAction’s Clean Water Safe Roads project to reduce road salt is hosting a public outreach event at Ausable Brewing Company on Saturday, June 8th from 2 to 5 PM. A gose style beer that includes salt will be released at the event, with sale proceeds benefitting AdkAction. Attendees will be able to learn more about road salt’s impact on the Adirondacks’ clean water, strategies to reduce that impact, and can pick up stickers and car magnets from our Don’t Be Salty ADK public outreach campaign. Kids can enjoy free art activities themed around clean water.

The gathering will also celebrate a job well done this winter by the road crews that participate in our Clean Water Safe Roads Partnership, who will be at the event to discuss their successes. Thanks to Ausable Brewing Company, AdkAction will be offering a free beverage to each road crew member from a participating Highway Department.
