Volunteer Opportunities at the 2022 Keeseville Community Arts Festival

This year’s Keeseville Community Arts Festival will include art shows and sale, youth art activities,  live art demonstrations, live music and theatre performances, and more!

To help make this event a success, we’re looking for volunteers to help out in a variety of roles during the festival. Read about the different ways you can get involved below, and sign up on our volunteer page.

Plein Air Reception
On Friday, July 22 from 6-9PM we will hold a Plein Air Reception at the 1719 Block Gallery. We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up, pouring wine and beer, assisting with art sales, and cleanup.

Friday: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm (set up, bartending) and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (bartending, cleanup)

Plein Air Brunch and Gallery Help
Gallery assistants monitor the art show and help out with sales, and assist with serving at our Plein Air Brunch at 1719 Block Gallery on Saturday morning.

Volunteer shifts are available during the following times:
Saturday: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm

Arts in the Park Helper
This year’s Keeseville Community Arts Festival will feature a new event designed to engage more community members than ever before: Arts in the Park. Artists and artisans local to Keeseville will set up alongside the Ausable River in Anderson Falls Park on Saturday, July 23. In addition to selling their artwork, each artist will be actively demonstrating their craft, talking about their work, and answering questions from festival goers. Volunteers will help with general set up, directing foot traffic, assist with monitoring youth arts activities, and clean up.

Volunteer shifts (3 hours) are available during the following times:
Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (includes set up) and 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm (includes clean up)

Youth Art Activities
Sign up to assist with one of the following activities:

  • Youth Outdoor Painting Classes. Saturday 10:00-12:00 at the Keeseville Community Garden (located between Mountain Valley Credit Union and Adirondack Hardware). Assist the instructor in signing kids in, handing out supplies, maintaining order.
  • Tie Dye Workshop. Saturday 10:00 – 2:00 at Arts in the Park (located in Anderson Falls Park, behind the Keeseville Library). Assist the Tie Dye leader in setting up, helping kids and attending adults to tie dye festival t-shirts, and cleaning up. Two 2-hour shifts available.
