Volunteer Opportunities at the Keeseville Community Arts Festival

This year, AdkAction is expanding our Keeseville Plein Air Festival to include activities and events throughout the community. The 2021 Keeseville Community Arts Festival will include art shows and sale, youth art activities, a community mural project, live art demonstrations, live music and theatre performances, and more!

To help make this event a success, we’re looking for volunteers to help out in a variety of roles during the festival. Read about the different ways you can get involved below, and use the sign-up form to indicate when and where you can be helpful. You can also email us at [email protected] with any questions, or if you would like help signing up.

Welcome Tent & Youth Art Activities
AdkAction will have a festival welcome tent at the corner of Clinton Street and Front Street, in front of Adirondack Hardware. Volunteers here will help direct people around Keeseville, distribute passports and bags to VIP ticket holders, monitor a youth art activity table, and help people with stamped passports to enter our prize basket giveaway.

Volunteer shifts (2.5 hours) are available during the following times:
Friday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Plein Air Reception
On Friday, July 23 from 6-9PM we will hold a Plein Air Reception at the 1719 Block Gallery with additional gallery space next door at Sweet Little Things bakery. We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up, pouring wine and beer, assisting with art sales, and cleanup.

Friday: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm (set up) and 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (sales, bartending, cleanup)

Gallery Help
Gallery assistants monitor the art show and help out with sales at 1719 Block Gallery.

Volunteer shifts (3 hours) are available during the following times:
Saturday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Passport Ambassador
To help attendees explore all that the festival offers, AdkAction created a free Arts Passport. Festival-goers can collect stamps at each activity, then turn in their passport at the AdkAction welcome tent on Front Street to be entered in a grand prize drawing. Passport Ambassador volunteers will be stationed at different event locations, and are responsible for stamping passports, handing out passports to those who don’t have them, and chatting about the different festival events. Gallery Helpers and Welcome Tent Volunteers will also serve as Passport Ambassadors at those locations. Here are some other places you can volunteer as a Passport Ambassador:
