Spring is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to get ready for AdkAction’s annual Pollinator-Friendly Native Plant Sale! This is your opportunity to bring vibrant, pollinator-supporting plants to your garden while helping to protect the Adirondack region’s critical pollinator populations.
Preordering is now open, and you can buy your plants online for pickup at the Adirondack Pollinator Festival on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Uihlein Farm Greenhouse (281 Bear Cub Road, Lake Placid, NY) from 9 AM – 2 PM. If you need to make alternate pickup arrangements, just contact [email protected] to coordinate.
Can’t pick up your plants yourself? No problem! A friend can collect them for you—we’ll send a reminder email with all the necessary details prior to pick-up day.

Our plant sale features a curated selection of native perennials, grasses, and flowers that are specifically chosen for their habitat value and benefit to pollinators throughout the season. Each plant is grown naturally, without pesticides or neonicotinoids, ensuring they are safe for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Some featured species include:

- Monarda fistulosa (Wild Bee Balm)
- Asclepias incarnata (Swamp Milkweed – Deer Resistant)

Tees for the Bees!
We’re bringing back a tee-shirt pre-order to our annual Pollinator-Friendly Native Plant Sale, and adding a kids’ shirt for our youngest pollinator advocates!
- The youth ‘Bee a Friend’ shirt will be printed in white on a Hanes Youth Essential-T T-Shirt in Athletic Teal and features butterfly wings across the back.
- The adult ‘Native Plants’ design will be printed in black on a Bella + Canvas Unisex T-Shirt in Heather Mustard.
- We’ve also added a “Pollinators Welcome Here” 6″ x 9″ metal garden sign to help you spread the word about pollinator conservation in the Adirondacks.
Shirts and garden signs will be available for pickup along with the rest of your order at the Pollinator Festival on June 7. Please note that shirt and garden sign pre-orders will close on May 21 to allow time for printing.
