Help Native Plants Take Root
Join AdkAction for a hands-on volunteer day at the greenhouse as we prepare for our annual Pollinator-Friendly Native Plant Sale.
During Potting Day, volunteers will transplant small native seedlings into larger pots, giving them the space they need to grow strong and healthy before heading out into gardens and landscapes across the region.
Why It Matters
Native plants are essential for supporting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. By helping us pot up these plants, you’re directly contributing to healthier habitats and a more resilient local ecosystem.
What to Expect
Volunteers will work alongside our team to gently transplant young plants into larger containers. No experience is necessary—we’ll provide guidance and all the materials you need.
What to Bring
- Clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty
- Closed-toe shoes
- Water, and lunch if you plan to stay for both shifts!
- A friend (optional, but encouraged!)
Shift Options
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM (please note that sometimes our morning crew is so efficient that there’s not much left to do later in the afternoon!)
You’re welcome to sign up for one shift or stay for both.
