Help Us Get Ready for Plant Sale Season

This Earth Day, roll up your sleeves and join AdkAction for a simple but important volunteer task that supports pollinators and reduces waste.

We’ve received a large donation of used planting pots for our upcoming pollinator-friendly native plant sale. Before our volunteers can pot up plants, these containers need to be thoroughly washed and ready for reuse.

Why It Matters

AdkAction is committed to growing native plants without the use of harmful pesticides, including neonicotinoids, which have been linked to declines in bees and other pollinators. Washing donated pots helps ensure they are safe for growing healthy plants—while also keeping usable materials out of the landfill.

What to Expect

Volunteers will help wash and rinse donated pots using provided supplies. It’s easy, hands-on work and a great way to spend time with others while making a tangible impact.

What to Bring

• Clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet or dirty
• Closed-toe shoes
• Water, and lunch if you plan to stay for both shifts!
• A friend (optional, but encouraged!)

• 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
