Beyond the Peaks Student Film Festival

May 10, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free
Beyond the Peaks Student Film Festival will take place on May 10, 2019, from 5 pm – 8 pm at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.
In the first year of the festival, we have had 50 student films submitted from 7 Adirondack school districts! The top three films in each category will be shown during the festival. Registration is free and open to participating students, their parents, teachers, and the community at large. Due to limited seating capacity, registration is required for all attendees.
Filmmaking is an important artistic discipline that is underrepresented in rural America. We want to create and expand opportunities for young people in the Adirondacks interested in filmmaking or “digital storytelling.” We hope to build community around the arts by giving area youth a platform for creative expression and an opportunity to have their voice heard.

This project is made possible with the funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts.
