Betsy Minehan

Betsy and her family moved to Saranac Lake in 1976. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and has worked as an Occupational Therapist in NYC and the Netherlands.  She has been involved in Saranac Lake revitalization activities since 1978, first as a member of the Village Improvement Society later as one of the founding members of Historic Saranac Lake. For 11 years she served as chairman and member of the Village of Saranac Lake Planning Board . It was during this time that the planning board was responsible for the development of the Village Master Plan and Land Use Code. Betsy is an enthusiastic tennis player, and alpine skier and along with her husband has a serious interest in French cooking and wine.
