At the recent conference sponsored by AdkAction.org and the Adirondack Council, Dr. Dan Kelting of Paul Smiths College presented findings of his latest research linking 85% of rising sodium chloride levels in Adirondack lakes to state application of road . The goal now is to advance changes in public policy to reduce the environmental damage caused by our current winter snow-clearing practices.
