Surveys serve multiple purposes. They let the Steering Committee determine key issues for our members at regular intervals, which then factor in candidate support decisions. A contribution of $75 or more PLUS a survey determines a member's right to vote. Anonymous surveys are discarded so there can be no question of 'ballot stuffing', but personal information is used only to confirm that the survey represents a valid, non-duplicative opinion and (when coupled with a donation) to create membership.
